The Nayong Pilipino Foundation, in partnership with HABI The Philippine Textile Council, brings you a summit series on weaving as intangible cultural heritage. Join us, with our resource speakers as panelists and guests as reactors in each session, as we discuss weaving with another lens.

19 October 2020, Day 1: Weaving as Intangible Cultural Heritage

Dr. Norma A. Respicio, textile expert, and Professor Emeritus at University of the Philippines will deliver the keynote address to open Mga Hibla ng Pamana – Day 1. Her opening remarks will focus on Intangible Heritage as shared knowledge, passed from one generation to the next, and recognized as such by the culture bearers.

A discussion with esteemed reactors – Ms. Adelaida LimΒ and Mr. Maco Custodio , and a Question and Answer session will follow.

The summit will be from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on the following dates:
