2nd Screening of THREADED TRADITIONS: Textiles of Panay Island

Catch the exclusive rerun of THREADED TRADITIONS: Textiles of Panay Island on October 22, 5PM.

Discover the threaded journey of our ancestors in this documentary film produced by Museum Foundation of the Philippines and HABI The Philippine Textile Council for the KAAGI Virtual conference at SOAS University of London.

The documentary shows the exquisite craftsmanship of the artisans in making piña and cotton textiles from plant to finished product, their process in making patterns that represent their life and environment and the journey that championed the community as a whole, and how the elders bridge the gap between the traditional and modern age.
